The b side of the vinyl is more than
a documentary, it’s a movement
to celebrate women in music,
to give voice to women in an industry
that is ruled mostly by men.
The time is here to speak out
and recognize the glory of incredible talents.
It’s time that women stand together
in the music business.
It’s time for the revolution
#beats4us
as Gloria Steinem once said:
"we have always been an equal part of the past.
we just haven't been a part of history.”
so let’s make history!

FINAL SCENE // MY HOMAGE TO ALICIA & ANDRA
As our interviews and journey through different eras conclude, the true nature
of that tunnel is unveiled: we had been traversing within the confines of vinyl.
Transition to an overhead perspective, and the vinyl transforms into a stage,
marking the pivotal moment when the Kintsugi Technique, discussed earlier,
comes into play. The initial notes of the concluding song, "Rise Up" by Andra Day,
fill the air, and a solitary spotlight gradually illuminates her. Initially alone
on stage, she is soon accompanied by the other singers we had conversed with.
A procession of young singers, adopting a gospel style, gradually joins them to
convey her powerful message. On the backdrop of screens, a montage showcases
images of all the women we had discussed. The scene shifts to the screen
displaying "The end," only to have it erased and replaced with the phrase,
"To be continued."
WISH LIST FOR SOUNDTRACK COMPOSER
The one person i would love to collaborate with on the creation of the soundtrack is Emily Estefan. She is a young emerging incredible talent. She is a force on stage.
The fluidity in mixing music but retaining her own style makes her perfect to tell the story of women in music from the '600 to today.
About the creator
FRANCESCA FERRETTI
Creative. Designer. Filmmaker. Storyteller.
Born under the Roman sun, this creative dynamo emerged from the cradle of culture with a flair for storytelling that would make even the Colosseum blush.
With a resume that reads like a who's who of Italian cinema – Verdone, Neri Parenti, Fellini – she cut her teeth on the silver screen, crafting narratives as rich and textured as a fine Italian wine.
Fast forward to the neon-lit streets of Miami, where she reigns supreme as the brains behind Fracata Productions, a powerhouse of creativity that's as vibrant and eclectic as the city itself. From art direction to editing, she's the maestro of the unexpected, weaving tales that leap off the screen and into the hearts of audiences worldwide.
But it's not just about the art – it's about the accolades. From the Coconut Grove Arts Festival to the glittering halls of the Summit and Golden Addy Awards, she's collected more trophies than a Roman emperor, each one a testament to her boundless talent and unyielding passion. And just when you think she's reached the pinnacle of success, she goes and outdoes herself again. Case in point: a short film starring the irrepressible Jonathan Adler, launching the Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa into the stratosphere
of luxury and allure. But that's not all – she also created the advertising campaign starring none other than the legendary Iris Apfel, proving once and for all that when it comes to storytelling, this Roman-born dynamo is in a league of her own.
